Here it is! My Nickelodeon Game Show mini documentary.
Using a handful of interviews with a few friends (and some random people I just happened to bump into) I created a documentary that showcases our memories of these classic game shows…with an adult perspective of course!
Starting with a great story by Levi “Dabeedoo” Peretic we enter wild and crazy kids, of course followed by Double Dare, Nick Arcade, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Guts, and finally Figure it out!
I was really lucky to interview some people who are truly passionate about Nickelodeon like myself. I really lucked out, because without their love for all things Nick this would have ended up maybe half as good…at best!
I think the clips supported the interviews really well and for the most part I am proud of it.
Still this is far from perfect. Some of my titles go into the black not he screen( not a big deal though. Biggest problem is issues with the audio. I would like to do a better cut of this at some point. maybe this summer a re-cut will emerge with even more content. Only time can tell though.
Doing a 90’s Nickelodeon Doc!
I need But loads of interviews! Buttloads! If anyone would like to be interviewed or no people that would like to be itnerviewed please contact me either through here of Facebook.
I’m hoping to make this one really special and concentrate we why as a generation loved 90’s Nick!
My apologies this is the pac-Man with Music.
enjoy!!!!
Please try and spread this one around. OR BOTH!!!! :D
For class I had to tell a story without use of music, or interviews. So i decided to follow around a guy dressed as Pac-Man for a day. My biggest complaint about these videos are my rather bad camera work. I wish I had done a better job, but that can’t be corrected in the editing room.
The top video is the one intended for class. It has no music and uses only natural sound.
The second is the one intended for public to see. It features music and I think is superior to the class cut. However if I do a re-edit I do see some moments where it can be tightened.
make sure to try and spread the word guys. I think this video has some potential.
This is an interview with VHShitfest writers/creators Tim May and Dan Kinem. The VHS tape intervals turned out well in my opinion, but I feel the editing could have been a bit better on this one. However I feel that I have succeeded in informing the viewer about VHShitfest and keeping them entertained visually.
Let me first address that I understand this is a fake interview. however it does follow all the basic principles that are necessary.
It uses 3 cameras. 2 single shots and a 2 shot. It consisted of only one interview, but that is all that was necessary. The shots seemed appropriate for a studio based interview.
Audio is pretty basic. no music in the background, only thing you could hear was Zach Galifanakis and Michael Cera.
The lighting seemed to drown out the shadows, making them invisible on their faces. This was also assisted with a black background which in a way kind of highlighted them.
Biggest complaint is this isn’t real so I can’t grade the actual content of the interview.
Using pictures of things I loved during my Childhood I have told the basic tale of my young life.
My childhood started like most, quite simple (Sega Genesis images). As I grew it gained more dimension (Nintendo 64 images) Then it entered what I consider the golden the age of my childhood (Nickelodeon images.) last stage is what I call the dark stage where things turned upside down for me. ( using images from movies and shows that scared me as a child.)
My biggest complaint about this is that the music gets lower and lower. I plan on adjusting this later. Also i would like to switch and adjust some of the images.
I do think there is enough in here to make everyone feel at least a tad bit of nostalgia. Hopefully I have accomplished this.
tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?
I was born as a joke that became real…Most notably because my creator is very partial to cats.
